Blacksmithing for Everyone: Forged Hooks

In this introductory level class, students will learn how to move and shape metal into a functional piece of art that will last for generations. The class will cover hammer control and usage, general safety, drawing out and spreading metal, using different parts of the anvil, hot cutting, some chisel work, cleaning, and finishing the work piece. Participants of any experience level are welcome and will be able to leave with their own finished piece. The class length is approximately two hours and limited to three participants.
