Enjoy a hot dog roast with all the trimmings. First annual Pumpkin Patch Scarecrow Contest. Bring a lawn chair or blanket & spend the evening. Admission charged. |

Summers Past History Program - From June 29- July 27
Six sessions Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. where children age 6-12 learn about their local history through historical based crafts, archaeology, games, music, storytelling, & trips to the cave. Andre Michaux Day - Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. Come early & enjoy Breakfast with the Birds. Native plant sale at 9 followed by a dedication of a State Historic Marker honoring Michaux with State Senator Rusty Crowe at 10. Special guest will be Andre Michaux portrayed by Carlie Williams. At 1 p.m. join Samantha Loftin for "The How and Why of Growing Herbs in containers." Donations supports the historic gardens. |

Holiday Model Train Workshop 3 - At this third workshop presented by members of the Mountain Empire Modular Rail Roaders (MEMRR) on Saturday, December 10 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m., participants will learn about model railroad "kits" versus "ready to run," how to put mortar between the bricks on scale bullldings, building kits, detailing & weatherng, tracks of different codes, types; laying & ballesting, & painting figures. Enjoy a special tour of the MEMRR layout. Allow 1-2 hours to participate in repeating activities. Suggested donation of $3 per adult & $2 for children 12 & under. |

A Weekend with André Michaux - In 1795 and 1796 Michaux, the French botanist, visited with Col. John Tipton. On April 3rd, begin the day with Breakfast with the Birds at 8am. From 10am-4pm take part in Wildflower Walks, cooking with herbs over an open hearth, and visit with Michaux, portrayed by Charlie Williams, and talk about botany in the 18th century. An exhibit in the temporary gallery on Michaux's travels in Northeast Tennessee will open on Saturday, April 3rd. |

Battle of the Lost State of Franklin - 10am to 4pm. A re-creation of the battle between North Carolina and Franklin militia actually held on the grounds of Tipton-Haynes in February of 1788. Maple syrup making, storytelling, and lunch available. Battle at 2 pm. |
