Campers age 6-14 will enjoy an overnight stay at the site. Parents can drop campers off after 4pm on Friday, March 29. A hot dog supper will be provided along with breakfast and a pizza lunch on Saturday, March 30. Campers will play time period games before being picked up by parents on Saturday before 4pm. Price is $50 per camper.
Find out more »Springtime in Haynesville: Civil War Reenactment
Join us as we go back in time! Union and Confederate forces will be deciding the fate of East Tennessee at the home of Confederate Senator Landon Carter Haynes. Come watch to see which side triumphs over the other. The site and camps will be open each day from 9am to 4pm while the battle starts at 2:00pm each day. Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for children twelve and under. Tipton-Haynes members are free!

Participants age 6-14 learn about their local history through historic-based crafts, games, music, storytelling, nature & the cave. First week-Native American History, second week-Revolutionary History, third week-Civil War History, and the fourth week will focus on the early to mid 1900s. Each week is $100 for non-members and $90 for members. Sessions run 9am-2pm, Monday through Friday. Aftercare available. Applications available in spring.

Find out more »Sorghum Festival and Breakfast
Join local volunteers as they demonstrate how sorghum is made by watching them cook down the juices into sweet molasses. The team will be showing the step by step process of making sorghum, including having a mule turning the mill. A biscuit and gravy breakfast with sorghum will be served from 8am to 11am.
